Browsing without an account

You can browse, search, filter and watch everything without signing in. When you do that, pomodoro.tube stores nothing about you: there is no analytics tool, no tracking pixel, no advertising network and no cookie of ours on the page.

Our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs (IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent) for security and to keep the service running. We do not use them to build any profile of you.

What your own browser stores

A few preferences are saved in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and are never sent to us:

Clearing your browser data for this site removes all three.

Third parties that see your visit

Three things on our pages are loaded from other companies, and they see your request:

Signing in with Google

Signing in is entirely optional and only needed if you want to claim a channel page. We ask Google for the basic identity scopes — openid, email andprofile — and store only what they return: your Google account identifier, email address, display name, profile picture URL, and the date you first signed in and last signed in.

Your session is a cookie that is signed, HTTP-only and expires after 30 days. It holds only the fields above. Signing out deletes it.

We never receive or store your Google password. The access token Google issues is used once, during sign-in, to read the profile fields above and is then discarded — we do not store it, and we do not request or store a refresh token, so we cannot act on your account afterwards.

Connecting your YouTube channel

Creators who want to claim their channel page can connect their YouTube account. This is a separate, explicit step with its own consent screen, and it asks for one additional read-only scope, youtube.readonly.

We use it for exactly one thing: reading which channel the signed-in account owns, so we can confirm you are its owner and unlock editing on that channel's page. We store the channel ID and, if we do not already have one, the channel's avatar URL.

We do not read your analytics, your private or unlisted videos, your subscriptions, your comments or your watch history, and we cannot upload, edit or delete anything on your channel. The permission is read-only and the token is discarded immediately after that single check.

You can revoke this access at any time fromyour Google account permissions.

What creators publish

If you claim a channel page, anything you add to it — tagline, description, links and pinned video — is published on that page for everyone to see. That is the point of it. You can edit or clear it whenever you like.

Video information

The catalogue is built from public metadata retrieved through the YouTube Data API: titles, descriptions, durations, publication dates, public statistics, channel names and chapters. No video files and no thumbnail images are stored on our servers.

This information is refreshed automatically every 24 hours. Videos that YouTube no longer returns — deleted, or made private by their owner — are removed from our database along with everything attached to them.

Who we share it with

Nobody. We do not sell, rent or license personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. The only companies that process it on our behalf are the ones that host the site and its database, and they do so solely to run the service.

Your choices

If you are signed in, your account page shows the whole record we hold about you and lets you delete it yourself, immediately and without asking us. Deleting your account removes your record and any channel page you published, and unlinks any session you suggested; the underlying videos stay in the catalogue, because they are public YouTube content and not personal data of yours.

You can also ask us for a copy of what we hold, have it corrected, or have it deleted on your behalf: write to privacy@pomodoro.tube and we will handle it. If you are in the EU or the UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

pomodoro.tube is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed in, write to us and we will delete the account.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Changes that affect what we collect or why will be announced on the site rather than slipped in quietly.
